Our major focus is to provide financial support to Camp O’Bannon, a local summer camp for referred children. The camp serves about 400 students every summer. Newark Kiwanis has provided this support for almost 100 years!
Sponsorship of many Service Leadership Programs in local schools
Newark Kiwanis sponsors the following programs: – K-KIds clubs at Johnny Clem, Carson, Ben Franklin, Cherry Valley, McGuffey Elementary Schools in Newark – Builders’ Clubs at Wilson and Heritage Middle Schools – Newark High Key Club – Newark Catholic Key – Ohio State University Newark Circle K Club (sponsored jointly with Granville and Heath Moundbuilders Clubs)
We also sponsor Licking County Aktion Club jointly with Granville and Heath Moundbuilders Club.
Support for other local organizations
Club members volunteering at Licking County Aging Partners Christmas Party.
We provide hands-on or financial help for organizations such as Licking Memorial Hospital, Mental Health America, Newark City Schools (Citizen of the Month), and Licking County Aging Partners.
